Just got off the phone with the clinic and we are definitely moving up the egg retrieval date to Thursday! Yay! I don't know why I'm so excited about this...it really doesn't matter when we do it, as long as it happens. Oh, wait....I do know why I'm so excited...because now I can go with my friend Jessica to see Harry Potter on Friday night! :) I really can't think of a better reason.
The change in schedule means that I give myself the trigger shot tonight. The trigger shot is a big dose of HCG that makes the follicles mature so that the eggs can be retrieved. (On a completely unrelated note, every time the clinic talks about the trigger shot, I think of Roy Rogers' horse, Trigger. A quick check of Wikipedia revealed that a likeness of Trigger was on display in Branson, Missouri until 2009. Fun fact for the day.)
